Let's talk about the Subjunctive!

Use the subjunctive after cuando, en cuanto, and una vez que to talk about future events.​

Cuando yo viaje a España, visitaré Madrid.​
When I travel to Spain, I’ll visit Madrid.​
Me sentiré mejor una vez que esté en casa.​
I’ll feel better once I’m home.​
Prepararé la cena en cuanto esté en casa.​
I'll prepare dinner as soon as I'm home.​

But to talk about habits, use the regular present tense!​​

Cuando yo viajo a España, siempre visito Madrid.​​
When I travel to Spain, I always visit Madrid.
