Verb + 一 + Verb
You’ve seen that a verb can be repeated (e.g., 我随便看看) to show a brief, casual action. You can also sometimes add 一 between the verbs to express that same idea.
你可以帮我拿一拿行李吗？ (Nǐ kéyǐ bāng wǒ ná yi ná xínglǐ ma?) Could you help me take my luggage for a moment?
我去看一看。 (Wǒ qù kàn yi kàn.) I will go look (for a moment).
你想试一试吗？ (Ní xiǎng shì yi shì ma?) Do you want to try (for a moment)?
