Remember that some verbs in Spanish need me, te, or se (for example, Me llamo Cindy or ¿A qué hora te levantas?). These same verbs require nos and se in the nosotros or ellos form.

In English, we say He brushes his teeth or I wash my face, but in Spanish you’d normally use el, la, los, or las before parts of the body.
Ellos siempre se cepillan los dientes.
They always brush their teeth.
Nos lavamos las manos a menudo.
We wash our hands often.
In English, we can say This is my pen or The pen is mine. It’s the same with Spanish!
Este es mi bolígrafo.
This is my pen
Este bolígrafo es mío.
The pen is mine.
