J’aime voyager !

Voyager, aller, and manger, are all infinitives. In English, infinitives are usually used with to (as in to travel), but in French, infinitives don’t require a word like to. To say I like to travel, you would simply say J’aime voyager.

J’aime voyager.
I like to travel.
J’aime manger !
I like to eat!

J’aime la France !

Use le, la, or les when making general statements, such as Trains are big or I like wine.

Les trains sont grands.
Trains are big.
Tu aimes le vin ?
Do you like wine?

When to use “aux”

Recall that au is used to combine à and le. But if the noun is plural, use aux instead of à les.

à + leau Tu vas au supermarché ?
à + lesaux Je vais aux Etats‑Unis.
