Plural

Talking about many things vs. one thing works just like in English... simply add ‑s! But in French, the plural ‑s is usually silent.

Les

When talking about more than one person or thing, le, la and l’ become les. Notice that the es in les sounds like é (as in "bay," but without the final y sound).

la femme les femmes
l’hôtel les hôtels
