To talk about the weather in English, we often begin with it (for example, It's sunny). A lot of French expressions about the weather being with il!
Il fait chaud.
It’s hot.
Il fait froid.
It’s cold.
Il fait très beau.
The weather is really nice.
Il fait soleil.
It’s sunny.
Il neige.
It’s snowing.
Il y a des nuages.
It’s cloudy.
Il y a du vent.
It’s windy.
Months and season names aren’t capitalized in French.

In English we might say It’s too cold to swim. French is similar!
