Welcome and bienvenue!

Salut !

Did you know? French is an official language in 29 different countries! Let's get started with the basics. Welcome and bienvenue to the French course.

A lot of French sounds are similar to English ones! Let's look at some vowels.

achat, salut (as in "father")
jeje (as in "petition")
inuit, pizza (as in "Lisa")

To practice the French u, round your lips (pucker up, buttercup!) and say ee.

utu, salut (say "ee" while puckering your lips)
