Two important holidays in China are the Mid‑Autumn Festival, 中秋节 (zhōngqiū jié), and the Dragon Boat Festival, 端午节 (duānwǔ jié).
The moon is said to be the fullest during the Mid‑Autumn Festival. People spend time together with their family and enjoy mooncakes, or 月饼 (yuèbǐng).
During the Dragon Boat Festival, people eat sticky rice dumplings, or 粽子 (zòngzi), and watch dragon boat races, also called 龙舟比赛 (lóngzhōu bǐsài).
